Stainless steel expansion joints

Stainless steel expansion joints are used as a flexible element in pipework to compensate for changes
design and layout, expansion joints can absorb movement in axial, lateral or angular directions or in all directions.

Expansion joints are designed to customer specifications with welding ends, fixed or rotating flanges in a variety of materials. In addition to the standard types listed below, expansion joints are available in many different designs for customer-specific applications.

– NBR – Application for: Fuels (up to 50% aromatic content) / Cooling water with oil-based additives / lubricating & hydraulic oils / Seawater / Mineral oil products / Town and natural gas
→ Not suitable for liquefied gases

Rubber expansion joints have a wide range of different applications – they are used in domestic heating systems, air conditioning and ventilation systems as well as in plant construction, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, chemical plants and power station construction. In addition to absorbing movements in an axial, lateral or angular direction, they are also used to damp noise in piping systems. Depending on the application, rubber expansion joints are available in various rubber qualities and with or without external reinforcement. The rubber expansion joints are standardly equipped with flanges in accordance with EN 1092-1 PN 10/16 – other flange designs are available on request.
